It all started with a feeling that's hard to explain: that of being distant... even when you're somewhere. Distant from a language, an atmosphere, a way of life. Distant from what made us who we are. I often looked for simple things - an image, a poster, a detail - to rediscover a bit of that connection, a place, a moment, a sensation. There's also what war takes away, transforms, or pushes away. Places, landmarks, moments that become memories.

So I started to create what I couldn't find. To give form to that void, to those memories. FunounArts was born from that — as a way to keep that connection alive, despite the distance.

Deeply influenced by the historical, cultural, or patrimonial richness and the influences of the Arab and Mediterranean world, I observe the forms, details, and colors of life, and all of this nourishes my work. Each creation is conceived as a bridge: between here and there, between the present and memories.
